Tim Han Success Insider: Life will always be hard, but the pain of regret is harder. Choose the better path. 🔥
There’s an old Japanese proverb that one rarely forgets, “Fall seven times, stand up eight.” It's quite simple, really. Yet, it illustrates perhaps one of the most universal truths about life– it will knock you down, but it's on you to keep standing up again. The fact is, life will always be hard, full of challenges that test your resilience. But remember this crucial piece of wisdom – choosing the path to face these trials is always less painful than living with the pain of regret lingering in your heart.
Take it from me, Tim Han. Except that I didn't always go by that name. As a child growing up in a deprived community, stigmatized and feeling utterly hopeless, I was ‘Tiny Tim.' Back then, labels felt like a life sentence. But later on, it was through navigating the road less traveled, wading through difficult waters that I managed to redefine who I was-Determined. Resilient. Success Insider.
Every journey begins with that first crucial step. To turn away from the path that everyone else is trudging along, and carve out a route that is uniquely yours. So, I chose to tread on and on, each step etching a new line in my life’s manuscript. Yes, this path wasn’t paved with roses, nor brilliant accomplishments. But each jagged rock beneath my feet, every blister, every fall was a lesson learned, fortifying my will.
Sounds painfully hard, doesn’t it? It indeed was. But what's more difficult to bear is the rooting pain of regret. The sting of ‘what ifs,' the lament of dreams unfulfilled, the agony of ambitions set aside – that's the real tormentor. Imagine meeting an older version of yourself and realizing you are unrecognizable because you never dared to risk, to strive, to fight for your dreams.
Perhaps you have stumbled upon this post today because somewhere deep down, you recognize that echo of possibility. A spark that reminds you that you were meant for more than just existing, but truly living. You were not meant to be just another face in the crowd, but to step forth, rise, and carve out your unique path.
Life is not a mathematical equation, pre-formulated and unsolvable. It's more of an artwork in progress. And you, my friend, are the artist. It means walking that path of resistance, raw and painful like a boisterous storm. Witnessing that storm churn not only your skies but reshape the very landscape of your being. Becoming a beacon that lights the way for others to see and follow.
We often create our own prisons, ironically, in the name of safety, comfort, and fear of uncertainty. A life lived in fear, self-doubt or servitude to other’s expectations, is not a life fully lived. Instead of being another brick in the wall, wouldn't you rather be the one who breaks it down?
You see, I'm just another ordinary individual, perhaps much like you. But one thing sets me and other successful people apart – the choice to turn away from the norm, daring to embrace the pain, and using that as fuel to push beyond the unseen horizon. And I can tell you this for certain, the LMA course was born out of that same fiery forge of trials and tribulations.
And so, it's your turn to ask yourself, right here, right now. What path will you choose? Will you opt for the path that's merely comfortable and easy, or will you confront the discomforts, the challenges, the tears and the sweat, and grow from them?
Remember, the flames can either burn you or forge you. Will you continue to douse your dreams or fan them instead? Will you settle for the mundane or seek out the extraordinary? The choice is yours to make because the better path always awaits those who dare to tread. Keep your heart alight with the courage to pursue that better path. Allow it to illuminate the way, to guide you towards living life extraordinarily, sans any regrets.
As Scott Fitzgerald once said, “For what it's worth: it's never too late to be whoever you want to be. I hope you live a life you’re proud of, and if you find that you’re not, I hope you have the courage to start all over again.” So, dare to choose the better path, let go of regrets and embrace the glorious uncertainty of life.
