Tim Han Success Insider: Message of the day. π
Every so often, we find ourselves staring blankly at the crossroads of our lives, wrestling with the relentless ticking of the clock winding down the unknown. The veil of uncertainty can seem suffocating. It's during these vulnerable moments, I take a step back, breathe, and reconnect with my core values. I call this my ‘message of the day.' This small exercise has helped me realign my compass countless times, has pushed me beyond my comfort zone and towards uncharted territories of opportunity. My hope is that today's message will serve as a flicker of inspiration in your life as well.
Today's message revolves around one of the most powerful manifestations of human spirit, resilience. Remember how a single flap of a bird's wings can cause a tempest miles away, our individual actions, no matter how small, have the power to stir up a storm of change.
Think about yourself as a rubber ball. The harder you hit the floor, the higher you bounce back. Failure, disappointment, rejectionsβ they're not the end, but the beginning of a journey that molds us into a better, stronger version of ourselves.
There may have been times, when you felt like giving up. Just like I did. A small-town lad with dreams larger than life, yet crushed by the millstone of disappointment, I was on the brink of surrender. It was during those low phases that I realized the only difference between the impossible and the possible lies in determination.
I quietly observed and applied this philosophy into my life as I built Success Insider. My journey isn't a my-way-to-millionaire success story or a gurus-selling-dreams narrative, it's simply a testament to the power of resilience, that when you choose to move from ‘I can't' to ‘I will', miracles happen.
Think about this. What do Elon Musk, J.K. Rowling, and Oprah Winfrey have in common? They all faced adversities. Musk was ousted from his own company; Rowling was rejected by multiple publishers; Winfrey, born into poverty, faced a constant battle of insecurities. Despite all odds, they didn't let their rejections define them. Instead, they bounced back higher and stronger. That's resilience.
Now, think about your deepest struggles. What are they trying to teach you? Can you use those lessons to be that rubber ball that bounces back? Can you be resilient like Musk, Rowling, or Winfrey?
Take note, a resilient mind doesn't mean invulnerability to pain or rejection. It means choosing to rise after every fall, it means relentlessly trying again after every failure. Remember when Thomas Edison famously said, “I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work.” That's resilience. That's what I want you to believe in, to inculcate in your journey.
If you're intimidated by the idea of resilience, don't be. Just as every drop forms an ocean, every small act of defiance against fate, every tiny step in the face of adversity contributes to your becoming resilient.
This can mean waking up half an hour earlier, choosing to smile despite a rough day, sticking to your fitness routine, patiently echoing ‘next time will be my time' after being passed up on a promotion. Each is a small stitch in the vast fabric of your character, your resilience.
The key is to remember that resilience is not a trait born out of luck, it's a skill shaped by practice. You just need to take the plunge, and it doesn't matter how small that plunge might seem, what truly matters is the resolve, the ‘I can' spirit, and the sheer grit that reflects every time you bounce back.
Today, as I share this message, I implore you to reflect. Ask yourself: ‘What can I do today that scares me? What step can I take to bounce back higher?' Do it because resilience is your key to unlimited possibilities.
Thank you for taking the time to let me share this message with you. May you discover the power of resilience within you; may you break and bounce back always, emerging as an inspiration for others. That's the power each of us has; that's the power of resilience.
